Energy Management Systems

One open system for every building you run.

FMC designs, installs, and supports open-protocol building automation across New England. Retrofit or new construction, we tie HVAC, metering, and controls into one system your team can actually see, and we file the utility incentives that help pay for it.

What We Build

Graphics your operators live in, on systems nobody owns but you.

Every FMC installation ships with custom operator graphics: your actual floor plans, your actual equipment, live data on every point. Because we build on open protocols, the system belongs to you, not to a controls vendor.

Retrofit

Existing buildings

Replacing pneumatic or legacy DDC systems without shutting the building down. We phase the cutover floor by floor, keep tenants comfortable through it, and leave tuned sequences where guesswork used to be. Most of our work, and usually the path with the strongest utility incentives.

New construction

Ground-up projects

We work alongside your architect, GC, and MEP engineer from the design phase, so the controls scope is coordinated before the first duct is hung. The building opens commissioned, documented, and ready to run, not as a punch-list item.

Integration

Open-protocol integration

BACnet, Modbus, and the equipment you already own: chillers, boilers, RTUs, VAVs, meters, and third-party systems brought under one head end, which is typically Tridium Niagara. No proprietary lock-in, no single-vendor service contract you can't walk away from.

FMC Customer Hub

Every location you manage. One login. Any device.

The Customer Hub is your portfolio's front door: every building FMC maintains for you, each with its own live location page, documents, and service history. Check a site from your desk, or from the parking lot of a different one.

Whole portfolio, one interface

Every property you own or manage sits behind a single login, so you're not juggling a different system, password, and vendor for each address.

The same Hub location page on a phone

Built for the road

The Hub is fully responsive. The same location page your team uses at a desk works from a phone in the field, with nothing extra to install.

Live demand and conditions in BuildingPulse

Live, not a report

Location pages show current conditions and equipment status pulled straight from each building's EMS, alongside drawings, submittals, and service records.

Mass Save

Utility Incentives

Mass Save can cover a real share. We file it for you.

Mass Save is the Massachusetts utilities' energy-efficiency program, and EMS work is squarely inside it. You don't need to learn the portal: FMC screens the fit, models the savings, and manages the claim from pre-approval through utility sign-off. The rebate is paid to you, and we never take a cut.

  1. Screen the fit

A walkthrough and a baseline pull. You get a scoping memo with an incentive read before anything is signed.

  2. Lock in the incentive

We model expected kWh savings and submit for pre-approval with your utility. The incentive tier is locked before install starts.

  3. Install & commission

Controllers, sensors, sequences, and commissioning, documented the way the utility needs to see it.

  4. Claim & receive

Final measurement-and-verification report, utility sign-off, rebate issued to you, the customer of record. You countersign; we chase the check.

This is a ballpark only. Real scoping starts with a walkthrough.

A walkthrough with an FMC engineer takes about an hour. You'll leave with a candid read on your systems, your incentive eligibility, and where the savings are hiding.
